When a lot of stuff happens in quick succession, and then suddenly stops, that’s the time to get into a slump and not want to get out of bed.
It’s also the time to update your blog!
So, stuff that’s been happening.
We wrapped up Much Ado About Something in June to much joy and relief at doing something so awesome. And right now we’re in the thick of working on our next project(s). Follow Better Than Shakespeare for regular updates and on we’re up to.
I went to Comic Con for free and got to sit on the Harry Potter fandom panel and got a kick-ass dress all thanks to the wonderful Heidi Tandy, my fandom god-mom (god-older sis?) since I was 13.
I went to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival at the beginning of August with my play QUEEN (first draft written with the CTG Writers Workshop this year) as part of a new initiative- the API 2×2 Black Swan Playwrights Lab, put in place by the marvelous and brilliant Leslie Ishii.
And here’s a video interview of me at OSF.
The official announcement is out for the second production of In Love and Warcraft- taking place at No Rules Theatre in D.C., directed by the very funny, very very smart Joshua Morgan, whom I got to meet as part of the Kennedy Center workshop of this play last year.
And now I’m back to my job as Assistant Instructor at USC, something I found myself missing dearly over the summer. Freelance work continues. A lot of writing projects happening. And its application season.
Ergo a lot of going to bed everyday feeling inadequate and overwhelmed and constantly behind, but what else is new?
